One more thing about your new furniture Sandy...

Is that LED lightning?

Neat. I want to upgrade to LED lights myself, but the bright bulbs cost quite a lot, about $20 USD or more for just one bulb, whereas you can get a pack of four compact fluorescent bulbs for about the same price. I use CFL's in my room lamps, mainly for the longevity and daylight color temperature not found in standard bulbs.

Well... I technically have two LED bulbs, but they are the cheap ones and don't output that bright of light.. about as bright as a low-end LED flashlight. Only good for accent lighting. They are installed in my ceiling light.

Uhh... did what? Reaching level 50? I'm pretty sure the game has been updated with level cap increase, and I've read somewhere that the new level cap allows the characters to take two ultimate skills. Imagine being able to have two double-turrets with missile pods and slag bullets.

EDIT: Just realized it's DLC...

Just bought the Season Pass DLC so I can continue getting levels >.< and the new in-game quests that are to be done after TVHM is complete...

Darn 3.1 GB download! Took two days!

Although the reason for this is because my ISP was having problems on the day I bought the DLC and I gave up after waiting an hour but only getting 600MB downloaded but I wanted to go to bed. Everything was quicker on the next day, it took only two hours to grab the remaining 2.5GB. But it appears that either my ISP is having connectivity issues at the Malaysian Internet gateway, or Valve is having problems with it's Singapore and Thailand server (forget about using the Malaysia server, it was set up by a cybercafe franchise just to deliver CS to their branches, and the speed of that server is horrible! I wonder if they're still on 4Mbps streamyx DSL when 20Mbps fiber and WiMAX is available to most households in the West Coast.

Today, I had a lot of fun playing "Super Mario Bros. Deluxe" on Larry (named after VocabuLARRY from BabyFirst), my lime-green Game Boy Color I have had since 2000. He's a little scuffed up, but still works great. Too bad I lost my LED worm light I had for him. The GBC's LCD is great, but it has no backlight. Makes it tough to play GBC games in my moderately-lit room. Like Ashens' says, you basically need to sit on the core of the sun to see the screen. Tongue

Off and on, I do think about retiring Larry and getting a GB Advance SP with the backlight, but the SP requires a special adapter to use headphones. I think an original GBA with an added LED worm light may be the better option since that has a headphone jack.

Or I can get a Game Boy Micro, but those are hard to find and rather expensive.

So many choices... not sure which way to go.

BTW, here is Larry sitting next to Clifford.

Haven't fired up mine in years. But then again, I'm tired of the only games I have already.

Are you sure? I think you can get a used one for cheap on eBay or Amazon. Brand new tho, yeah, pricey.

BTW, what GB/GBC Games do you have? I don't have much, but here I go:

*Super Mario Bros. Deluxe
*Hamtaro: Ham-Hams Unite
*Super Mario Land
*Jurassic Park
*Tetris
*Mole Mania
*Arcade Classic Vol 2: Centipede/Millipede

There are used Game Boy Micros on eBay for good prices, but first priority is a brand new system. It costs more, but I would prefer to get a brand new unit rather than get a used console unless I can see that the used console was well cared for. I can do that easily at a retro store. On eBay? It depends. There are honest sellers, and there are those who put up a nice picture of a used GBA and you get one that doesn't match the description.

I was wanting to get one of those Chinese GBA clones that copy the original box and mimic the original design. Below is a review of said unit. It has a backlight too, but it has issues that outweigh the backlight...
