Today, I played Animal Crossing City Folk.
And it's the first time I played in nearly two months.
Luckily, my town survived without me for that long, but there were a good amount of weeds to pull... and cockroaches to eradicate.
But, after I'm done playing, I get a message from Nintendo reminding me that Nintendo WiFi Connection will be discontinued at the end of May. That means no more visiting other players towns in AC:CF or racing other peoples [strike]hacked up tracks with unfair powerups[/strike] perfectly normal race tracks with perfectly normal powerups in Mario Kart Wii. Offline play will still work though.
Nintendo WFC is also being discontinued for Nintendo DS and DSi.
The only logical thing to discontinue after this is the Wii Shop Channel and red WFC titles, which will no doubt come by the end of the year. I better hope to land a job soon as I need to start a mad dash for WiiWare titles I want.
Now, if you excuse me, I must attend to my Webkinz pals, who haven't seen me since Christmas Eve.
