Life has been pretty good for me, except one thing. I will make a post about that on Sunday.

Angel Wrote:Me and Alexia often toss around where we are going to move next year. We really aren't sure quite yet. We've pretty much narrowed it down to a few places.
I eventually want to move myself, perhaps my old college town. It was such a nice little town and I have several friends there. First, I need a job. Second, I need transportation, and I'm still on the fence on learning to drive and owning a car.

Angel Wrote:Been really into my usual collections.. Strawberry Shortcake of course, Ruby Gloom, Lalaloospy, and now Sofia the First. Too many things. It's good I'm not a super huge collector and just get the things I really want or are really easy filler. Hehe.
I collect many things, but it's safe to say that my largest collections are my old, vintage video games and my animated movie and TV show DVD collection. I try to pick up anything that may be of interest to me, or if it's of a show that I hear is either good, or one I like personally. If it's not on DVD, I try to record it to a DVD myself. Smile

Another thing I'm starting to get into is Little Suzy's Zoo. My current user picture is of Lulla, a cute musical bunny from said series. LSZ should have a TV show, but as of now it's books and greeting cards. I recently picked up two LSZ coloring books from Dollar General, and I have 2 complete four-book sets purchased at Dollar Tree.

Angel Wrote:Really been enjoying the Classic Strawberry Shortcake clips they've been posting on their Youtube. I never got to enjoy the 80's Strawberry Shortcake due to being born too late and then being told it was a girl thing I shouldn't be interested in, and to be honest it's pretty adorable. It's great to be feeling honest love for it rather then just love by association.
I wish they would release the rest of the 80s SSC specials on DVD. They only released the first two several years back, and that particular DVD is out of print. I happened to find it on sale at Walmart, and purchased it. Smile

Life... Don't talk to me about life.

Everything is going down the toilet bowl really fast.

Oh no, sad things. Sorry if I made them more sad somehow. Sad

It's funny kinda because I'm moving away from my old college town that I thought would be the best place to live. Really wasn't, I sorta am sad about it. I thought it was better in my mind. Why are you on the fence about that? Are you scared of driving like me?

P.S.: Made that post about the new toys!

Yeah.... that is one reason. I'm really worried that I will end up getting into a serious accident because I have a tendency to become distracted by small things, such as a stray cat walking on the sidewalk or noticing something (like a new sign or building) that other people normally gloss over. I'm also worried about having car trouble in the middle of nowhere. I'm from a rural state, and there are 45-mile stretches of farmland between towns in some spots (worse if you are in Northwest South Dakota) and a car break down there with spotty celluar service is a real invitation for danger.

Another reason are the insane costs of maintaining a car, as well as the ever increasing cost of gas. You also have to worry about buying insurance, which is required under federal law.

That is why I want to move back to my old college town. It only has about 6,500+ residents, I can walk across town easily, and they also have a bus service too. Either walking or using public transport would save a lot of money in the long run, and I wouldn't have to worry about getting in a car accident because of me becoming distracted.

Ooh! I see! That all makes sense! The place I'm in is not that small, but it's also not big enough to have the kinda bus system that would make it okay to not have a car. Me and Alexia want to move back to a big city, for the buses and for things to do!

Living in a small town for me is nice. The place I want to move to is small enough to have that charm while not having the big city problems, like traffic congestion. It's only about 45 miles from my state's largest city as well.

Small towns may not have all the bells and whistles as a large city, but they can have plenty of things to do depending on the time of year. One just has to pay attention to newspapers and calendars. The town I want to go back to does have a bowling alley, movie theater, several fast food restaurants and a good selection of shopping choices. You won't find Walmart there, but if you can find a good used item at the town's large thrift store than all is well. Smile

I have been keeping this to myself until today.

Monday morning, I head into surgery to get my gall bladder removed.

I'll spare the details, other than after all is said and done, my chronic indigestion issues should be gone for good.

I'm somewhat nervous though. I have been knocked out for oral surgery before, but still, you never feel good coming back out of it. I will also end up spending the night at the hospital as well.

Gall bladder surgery has come a long way from what it used to be, so recovery time will be much shorter. Even so, I still don't look forward to the few hours after I wake up.

I wish there was something more I could say then, "I'm pulling for you and you will be in my thoughts." I'm sure it will go just perfectly and you'll be really happy for it. I totally understand you feeling nervous though.

Good luck and get well again soon.
