Hey folks, you may remember me from the old boards. It's been a while, but I've come back, mostly to lurk, but to speak out when I feel the need.

Quote:“Galaxyman!”
There was that voice again. I couldn’t understand why he was calling for me now.
“What is it this time?”
“I’m here to warn you,” he answered. “Warn you of dangers that are coming!”
I was confused, “What dangers? I thought we took care of all the dangers that that there were before we came here.”
“Don’t be so naive; just because you have come back to Strawberryland doesn’t mean you are safe. Indeed, this place is relatively safe 99% of the time, but if you choose to overlook that 1%, it will be your undoing.”
My gaze stayed locked on the figure in front of me who was dressed in, and surrounded by bright light, “I don’t disagree with this. I know a long time ago that Peppermint Fizz, one of Strawberry Shortcake’s friends, tried to cheat at a pet contest. She also tried to steal her garden away, but she told her how sorry she was every time; today, they are still friends.”
“Yes, indeed!” Strawberry is certainly forgiving, but it could backfire and make her a doormat for people, like Peppermint, to walk all over her.”
“What is that supposed to mean? Tell me!” I demanded.
There was a slight chuckle from the figure, “My, My, you are full of questions aren’t you? Of course, I shouldn’t be surprised.”
“Tell me!” I demanded louder.
“If Strawberry is always as forgiving as you say, then why does it always seem that some of her friends constantly repeat their own mistakes on purpose?” He asked, now with his gaze focused directly at me. I then felt a sensation of really cold air and then I was shivering for a few seconds before the feeling faded
“LOOK!” I said half shouting, “Even my friends and I make mistakes over and over again sometimes, but we always forgive each other and try hard not repeat them.
“That’s true, but as you said, you try hard not to repeat them; however, you don’t intentionally keep doing them, nor do you try to find a new way to do the same thing hoping that no one will suspect that you are disguising what has happened previously.
“What does this have to do with Strawberry, her friends, and Strawberryland? Get to the point already!”
“As you wish.” He was silent for 5 seconds before he continued. “Surely, you must have heard the old saying?”
“What would that be?” I asked.
He chuckled again, “You know? The saying that goes, Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
“Meaning what?”
“Exactly what it is supposed to mean. It describes Peppermint perfectly. Fool me once, shame on you: As you have stated already, a long time ago, Peppermint tried to cheat at the pet contest. At the very end, after she was exposed as a cheater, it was assumed that she felt bad that she was caught and that is just what everybody assumed when she walks off.” He then sighed and shook his head, “Fool me twice, shame on me. Later on during the annual Strawberryland games, she cheated again and this time, she may have not gotten caught, but had she not later confessed to her friend, she would have owned Strawberry’s garden and no one would have ever known what she had done. Of course, Strawberry forgave her and continued to forgive her after every little incident that she committed.”
“Sorry, I’m still not seeing the point,” I told him.”
The figure raised an eyebrow, “All that and you still don’t get the point?” He shook his head, “Shame, shame.” He then laughed.
I was getting upset, “What’s so funny?”
“You mean who is funny? The answer is you. Think about it; if Strawberry keeps forgiving her friends after they keep intentionally doing bad things, then they will continue to walk all over her, even if she can’t or refuses to see it.”
“That all was a long time ago. They are still friends and as far as I’m concerned; Peppermint has complained a lot, but I haven’t ever heard of her trying to cheat or trying to do anything bad anymore.”
“That’s because she hasn’t, yet,” he said, and then narrowing his eyes he continued, “Of course, old habits tend to disappear for a while, but then they can resurface when people are totally unaware of them. I’m not saying that Peppermint will ever do anything like that again, but you would be wise not to ignore the possibilities.”
I sighed, “I know, but what do you want me to do? Spy on her?”
The man in bright light shook his head, “How can you continue to be naïve? This isn’t about Peppermint, Strawberry, or her friends. This is about you and your companions. Even with all of this chatter we have had, you still don’t get it and if you continue to be this way, it will be the end of all of you. That is the last warning I will give you. Goodbye and enjoy your time in Strawberyland.”
I was still puzzled, “So, what do you want me to do?”
Instead of receiving an answer, there was a big and evil sounding laugh as I felt as though I was moving further and further from the figure. I looked behind me and saw a little tiny blackhole. The hole began to get bigger and bigger the closer I came to it until I was consumed. The last thing I remembered was waking up.

Before I get into my story's introduction; I would like to thank Blackberry Bun for his help on getting me set up. I especially enjoy the title for this forum where all of my stories will be kept, Galaxyman's Tales. It has a nice ring to it, doesn't it? Also, when I write my stories, if I am lucky, I may be able to post multiple chapters at one time, or I may be able to post one and then it might be awhile before I post again, but when I get around to it, I will post and I can promise that.
This introduction is not the first chapter, but I would think of it as perhaps maybe sort of a synopsis (At least I hope I'm using the term correctly, if I'm not, then please let me know and I will try to find a way to correct this even if I have to get some help) of a story that I am writing on my computer. Now, where I am going to start writing my story here on the forum is nowhere near where I am currently writing the story on my computer. On my computer, I'm at the very beginning where so far, nothing interesting has happened at all. Also, Due to copyright laws, I'll probably not get anywhere near where I want to get. (And that's with the permission to use the characters) If I'm lucky enough, I may even get my first book approved and published. However if worse comes to worse and...(I don't mean to look at the downsides or be negative in anyway)...there is likely a 98% chance that it will; at least, I will be able to see the parts of my story that I never got to on this forum. Anyway, without further ado, here is the intro.
A long time ago, I, Galaxyman, along with some of my friends didn't really believe that cartoons could ever exist in the world that we live in. (As you already know, I'm talking about Earth) I always thought that it was a possibility though, mostly because I've always believed that. Anyway, I had a dream where I spoke to "The higher power" and he told me that I am suppose to look out for 5 cartoon characters; although at the time, I didn't know that and so I was unaware of who I was suppose to look for. Later on, I found The Purplepieman, Sour grapes, Pupcake, Custard(The dog and cat were captured and being held by Pieman and Sourgrapes as part as some crazy plan (nothing new, right?) and Huck (Huck was also captured by the two, but since he was a little more "cooperative" They, Pieman and Sourgrapes, decided to not really hold him as a "hostage" against his will. When we all first met, Pieman and crew weren't really as ecstatic as I was. As time went on though and we had all of these adventures where we all had to help each other out, we all slowly began to enjoy hanging out with each other more.
Now after all of our adventures that we have had, we have decided to go to Strawberryland. Pupcake, Custard, and Huck are very excited because they kept on wanting to go back to their home and I finally am letting them since we currently are not on any more adventures and things have calmed down so that we could go back to Strawberryland. Anyways, we are now in Strawberryland and, much to his own surprise and his "better judgment" as he would describe it, the pieman has let Pupcake and Custard go back to their home and he never even tried to prevent Huck from leaving either. In return, the 3 of them have agreed to come visit from time to time. Meanwhile, my friends and I are staying with the brother and sister in an abandoned house in Strawberryland that is nowhere near Strawberrys or anyone of her friend's houses. The purplepieman is doing his best to be very good, although he tries his very best to keep his evil side alive, although he's not as successful as he had been in the past.
Well, there is my introduction on what's happened. I'm sorry if I didn't exactly fill you in on what is to come to my stories, but I can tell you that it will be very intresting. Although my story mainly focuses on The purple pieman, sourgrapes, myself, and my friends, it will also include Strawberry and her friends and also some other characters from other shows depending on how my story is going. The stories will include action, suspense, surprises, comedy, mystery, (although I feel suspense and mystery are the same) and although I disaprove, it will also include romance
If you want to discuss anything that is in this introduction, whether it be the characters, speculate what you think might happen in the future, or just to discuss what you thought about how I wrote this intro, whether good or bad (although I hope it's more good than bad) then let's discuss about it. Be sure to keep an eye out for the first chapter of "Back to Strawberryland.

Think up our own SSC video game! |

Inspired by the "SSC Videogame Wishlist" thread, I thought to start a kind of game here, to think up our own desired SSC video game. How would you make an SSC video game, if you had the chance? What platform would you implement it for? And what kind of game would it be, regarding the gameplay? And how could we get the license from the respective copyright holders for it? Basically you might come up with any aspect of video game making, releasing, licensing, whatever.
Though it all is purely hypothetical - we won't really make an actual game, just talk about what would it like if we did. When you talk, you can come up with your own idea, or you may think someone else's idea further.
Let me start! Well I'd make an RPG game, with 1st/3rd person view. The inspiration comes from FPS-RPG games like Deus Ex and a bit of Half-Life. Except that it would be an all peaceful game, avoiding violence. This would be difficult, though - in a normal FPS-RPG, you have storyline elements with shooting scenes connecting them. It would be hard to replace the shooting part with something else that's still fun, and won't make the game boring. It would be a big challenge!
The game would be played in the universe of the 2003 SSC series, and the player could choose to play several inhabitants of Strawberryland. Different characters would have different campaigns, so it's not about "choose one character to go through the exact same levels". Different characters would get different storylines. Of course Strawberry Shortcake would be playable, and some of my favourite characters - Ginger Snap is for sure, and maybe also Peppermint Fizz. Maybe there would be some mini-campaigns for other characters as well. We could also add some characters we made up, such as Blackberry Bun, though not sure they would be playable. (With Blackberry's approval, of course.)
The characters would get various quests, and in many cases they would need to cooperate with other characters by solving them. Other characters would be rendered by NPCs whom you can interact with. For example, you can ask them to follow you, like in Half-Life (the question is what need would it be, if there is no shooting). Mostly there would be puzzles; find, collect, use items; maybe driving vehicles; go and talk to various characters to progress; etc.. Maybe later I'll try to think up an actual level for the game, just to think about how would it work.
I would implement the game for PC, that's sure, and would release it on Steam. There would be nice Steam achievements for it also. How would I get the license? I don't know - AFAIK it works like that they should ask me first to make a game that is impossible to happen. Maybe I would make a short demo, send them to check it, and we'd make a contract if they'd like it. Otherwise the project would die silently. Also it's a hard question how would I get time and people. Maybe I could design maps and write code, and make the storylines; but I know nothing about modelling and texturing, I'm not smart at them at all.

writing stories |

I was thinking of maybe starting a story series of my own if that is okay in the creative corner of the website. I was wondering a few things.
First, when Blackberry wrote her stories(Sorry if you aren't a girl, but I'm assuming you are because of your forum name) she was able to make 2 forums. One on what her series would be called, and one where all the chapters went before the story. I was wondering how would I be able to do this or am I restricted to the normal way of posting with my stories?
Second, my stories are going to be mainly about the characters of Strawberry Shortcake and it is going to be year 4 of the way the characters look, mainly because that was the best design for the characters and no matter how many times they change Strawberry and friends, nothing will ever replace the way the characters look in the 2003-2007 year 4. Even though my stories are going to deal with Strawberry and her freinds; I enjoy other cartoons as well and some of the characters in them as well. Would it be okay to add them If I may? I always thought about what would happen if the purplepieman wasn't the only one who was trying to get Strawberryland. I mean you got to admit, one person constantly doing the same thing can get boring, but if you add a different character from another show where in that show, he/she almost brought the good guys and possibly other bad guys to their knees is pretty impressive. I can also make my own characters too, but i'm not sure how good it will be?
Third: I"ve had my opinion ever since I'm been posting here and if it is okay, when I am writing my stories, I would like to try to put those opinions to good use, even though I'm not sure what impact, good or bad it may have on my story.
Fourth: I am not an expert about where to always put semicolons and regular colons into my sentences(but really, who is?) so some puncuation may not be correct in my story and I am hoping that it will be okay?

So, I was reading Wikipedia and I saw this as I was reading.
Quote: The 'first' reformation of this character occurred in the episode "Dancin' in Disguise" and while she remained partners with her brother throughout the series, she did wish for things to be different. In the finale, the Purple Pieman is at last reformed
Does this mean that the purplepieman becomes good or what exactly does it mean and if he does become all good, what is the episode that shows this. I mean, it's only natural right? I mean, if sourgrapes became good, then her brother would have to follow.
