Saw this on another site, and I really think we could use some more thread games to liven this place up!
Basically every post goes like this.
^ I answer the question the person above me asked.
< I say something random about myself.
V I ask a question of the person below me.
Pretty simple, great way to learn some silly things about people.
[strike]So I'm going to start under this striped text.[/strike]
^ Yes, I am on Strawberryland, aren't I? (My silly way of answering the non-question, I have the banner above me.)
< Feels like people have gotten too stuffy with the things they will and won't eat.
V When was the last time you went "out" to eat and where did you go?

What do you think, is there a way to express our admiration to the creators regarding their work on Strawberry Shortcake? I mean, for example, sending fan mail to the writers, voice actors, animators who worked on the series, expressing our gratitudes and asking questions.
I have tried to look for their addresses on FanMail.biz with no success. Though as I observed, fan mail addresses are not always directly published. The usual way is to send letters to their agencies in the hope they will forward it to the intended recipients.
Would you send them letters or wouldn't? I think I would - I think they don't get much fan mail, so they deserve the praise. And I'd like to ask Samantha Triba why Ginger Snap suddenly became a Motor Mouth, because I'm that curious. (I like her being Motor Mouth, either way.)

To continue the conversation started here, I thought to create a different thread, because it is off-topic there.
Evalana Wrote:Kiwifruit Jam Wrote:I can't believe they are so mean! Killing off the best characters... And even alter the remaining ones, curtail them of their most relevant characteristics - see Plum Pudding. Keep in mind that the 2003 series changed the personality of a number of characters from the original 1980s specials, so it's not like this is without precedent. Personally, I find it interesting to see the changes that characters have gone through over all the incarnations. You are right. Stella Grapes has also mentioned that several characters have changed in the 2003 series also, and I've known about it even before that. Though I haven't seen any episodes of the 1980s, I have read about it - maybe Angel Cake is the most notable example. And the fact that Plum Pudding was originally a boy. Still, it's just me, but I liked the 2003 incarnation of Plum Pudding pretty much, because she was such brainy, and I usually like brainy characters.
Evalana Wrote:As for the 2009 series, it's hard for me to say whether or not it's better or worse than the 2003 series, but there is one aspect in which it stands head and shoulders above the 2003 series (for me, anyway): voice acting! Having actual professional voice actors makes so much difference. To be honest, I was totally fine with the 2003 voice actors. I don't think any more professionalism is needed there.
I'm sorry to say that, not to hurt anyone, but still I don't see anything valuable in the 2009 incarnation. Neither I like the animation style, neither the characters, neither the Berry Bitty City concept, and I don't see what need for those giant bugs. Though still I want to see an actual episode in full-length, maybe that is going to change my opinion.

SSC in Minecraft!? |

I've been addicted to Minecraft, like a good amount of the internet population and recently have gotten into the pixel art game. It's really fun. However, I'm a bit plauged because I want to make a bunch of Strawberry Shortcake themed images, but the only images that make decent pixel arts are images that are sprites.. and sprites of her are like, non-existant probably for good reason.
I could make a huge pixel art and put it on the floor, but does anyone know of some images that would be perfect for a more normal pixel art that can stand up? Would love to Strawberry Shortcake in Minecraft like that.
Otherwise, my other big problem is going to be replicating Strawberryland within Minecraft itself, and that's going to be a huge venture. I want to make things look as good as I possibly can, so any screenshots of good images of outside houses, and inside houses would be lovely.
I'm sure I can do that on my own, just wanted to know if the community wanted to help. I'll post things as Strawberryland slowly moves towards completion.

Chapter Two: Jack |

This is the second chapter/ page and the story alternates from Jillian's perspective and Jack's perspective.
Jack lived in a cozy apartment and his parents monitored his every action. His mom is a marine- biologist, and dad is a librarian. Jack was scheduled for a fitting as Prince Charming.
I saw the neon sign hanging above the shop window. It was lit bright with all the colors of the rainbow. I was headed straight for it to get fitted for my prince costume. I imagined that the costume would turn out sparkly and bright just what I didn't really want but was forced to do, I loved acting but some costumes are just outrageous.
I walked in the store and was greeted by a happy face.
"Welcome to Costaa's Costumes, are you Jack as Prince Charming? If or not please sit and relax while I finish on Cinderella," she said to me
"Um... I am Jack, who is Cinderella? Is she here for the play too?" I asked
"Yes Mister, it's Jillian I'm fitting now, do you know her? She goes to your school."
"I don't know her and I've never seen her at school but I don't care can you call me in when you're ready."
I walked outside and sat on the curb. I wondered "I've never seen her before and my 6th grade is not that big."
My life is messed up. My mom and dad always want complete control and watch over me and it is very annoying and makes me feel insecure.
Just as I started thinking about the play, a girl walked across the street and headed toward me. She said hey and I looked up, she had long golden-brown hair, and she was wearing a shirt with her name on it with puple and black lettering.
Her name was Moxy.

These don't have anything to do with SSC but I got bored and wrote them.
Jillian approached the shop with butterflies in her stomach. She was going to get fitted for her first musical at school ever. The lead role was Cinderella, and she had gotten the part. Jillian was nervous as ever because the first dress rehearsal was tomorrow! It never occured to her how close the play was.
I walked up to the shop and anticipated a small welcome but nothing exciting but instead I was welcomed warmly and we talked before we started the fitting.
"Welcome to Costaa's Costumes, I'm Costaa, and you're Jillian right?", the store owner said
"Yes and thank you for making my costume," I replied
"Well I'm always glad to help," Costaa said quietly "Are you alone Jillian, Oh and may I call you Jillian?"
" Yes, and yes of course."
"Do you not have guardian or are you just here alone?"
"I have foster parents that I'm not very fond of because I like being independent, and they don't know that I'm here or in the play but I don't know why I'm telling you."
"Well, that could end up a sticky situation but I'll think about it. Ok?"
"Ok...." I said slowly as I was unsure of myself
I tried on a model costume with no design and it formed to my body perfectly like one of those cloud pillows. It was a bit long, about down a foot below my feet so Costaa put in pins to hem it. Costaa told me that it would be done after school on Monday( today is Friday).
As I was finishing up, a small boy walked in and was quite rude to Costaa, but he seemed lonely. I walked out in silence and as I walked by him, he looked away from me in a strange manor. On the other side of the street, there was a girl, and her shirt had her name on it in huge letters, who knows why.
Her name was Moxy.
