Has never had issues with pop songs..
(Doesn't see it as "just like this or just like that" sees it as "a cute song with a cute message and cute animaton".)
I think worrying about how "mainstream" something is the wrong way to be looking at things. Strawberry Shortcake should be about being the berry best you that you can be, and being just who you wanna be. Well, that's one of the things that I would want Strawberry Shortcake to promote. Just because something is popular, or mainstream, doesn't mean it doesn't fit with berry wonderful girls growing a little better each day..
Though, speaking of the song.. I can't find it anywhere anymore. Makes me sad.
*then remembers she has an MP3 version, but kinda wanted to see the pretty video* Oh well.
It's fun to say berry! I berry talk all the day through!

Yeah, American Greetings found it on youtube and got rid of it there and on WorldScreen. I'm hoping that this means they'll be putting it up (and other Cherry Jam clips) on the official Strawberry Shortcake site soon, but I've been hoping that for a while now.
As for the song itself, it's kind of like, "Well, what did you expect?" SSCBBA has mediocre songs, and Cherry Jam is explicitly a pop star character. Thus, a mediocre pop song. Doesn't mean it's bad or anything, and it really is quite catchy. Plus, it's the only Cherry Jam-related video we have at the moment.

Here's the song from this week's episode, and it really is very touching. The video is a little spoilery, though.

Heh, the song title and the visible static image of the video already give away the point. What happened to her, by the way?
