I've been busy at TVTropes.

And... that is enough Sonic for today. Smile I got through the Sonic 3 portion and Mushroom Hill Zone, and I saved at that point. Have three of the Chaos Emeralds.

Finding those giant rings is tough and time consuming. And yes... I did get stuck at that barrel in Carnival Night Zone, but TVTropes helped me get past it. Wink

Never managed to finish Sonic 2 myself, and neither did my brothers; we'd almost always end up drowning at the chemical factory stage.

Finished Sonic 2 numerous times, used 19 65 09 17 to get to the final stage immediately. Playing from start to end takes 3-4 hours for me. Really, really hate the Casino Night Zone boss tho.

I took the 3 to 4 hour route as I prefer not to use codes or cheats in my games. Sonic 2 and 3&K make Sonic 1 seem extremely short and easy. Tongue Sonic 1 took maybe around 90 minutes to two hours for me.

The most annoying enemy in my Sonic playthrough thus far are those robotic seahorse things from Oil Ocean. Destroying them isn't a problem. What is a problem is how they tend to hide off the screen and spit out a small oil ball. The oil ball is so small you can't always make it out if you are moving too fast, and by the time you see it, it's too late and you take a hit. And seeing as how you need at least 50 rings to enter a Special Stage and try for an Emerald.....

I never had a problem with the seahorses in Oil Ocean Zone. At least, not with the Super Creation. The PC version, on the other hand...

In fact, my usual complaint is that the Steam and iOS version runs too fast.

Maybe playing it at 50Hz speed makes it easier since the game runs slower...

I had an opportunity to get a BlackBerry a few days ago, but instead I got an LG Cosmos 3. Not really a smartphone, bt with Hazel around, why would I need one?

Also, I miss the 90s. The music was awesome. Especially in Sonic 3.

Wait til I upgrade to a Blackberry Passport. With the Snapdragon 801 driving that SOB, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of flash, it would probably rock GTAIII's pants off. Right now I'm struggling with the flash storage as-is (I thought 8GB was generous compared to the ChaCha's 512MB. Hoo boy, I'm almost out of storage).
