The Spam Thread!
I just found out something about Android 4.4 KitKat...

You can no longer transfer apps to the SD card using a stock configuration. You now need to flash a custom ROM with a patch to restore that functionality.

I might stick with Hazel until she becomes too slow to use then.

WalMart will have a $99 Black Friday tablet.... running Windows 8.1.... NOT Windows RT.

Tablet has Intel Atom Z3735G 1.83ghz dual core CPU, 1gb RAM, and 16gb storage. Normally retails for $149.

I'm on the fence about this. I already have Greta for Mobile Windows, and the Wndows App Store doesn't have all my favorite Android games. On the other hand, I could give Windows 8.1 with a real touch screen a try.

Sounds like an attractive deal, considering it's not a half-arsed ARM device.

Looks like Windows Update has partially broken Audrey's Windows OS. The Weather Metro App no longer launches, Event Viewer Crashes, and I keep getting a random crash dialog for Scripted Diagnostics Native Host.

SFC shows integrity violations, and I haven't uninstalled or installed any legacy app lately. I blame Windows Update.

So, I'll see if SFC fixes things.

SFC did the trick. Everything is okay now. Smile

Further proof that Apple only cares about themselves.

No wonder why people are jaded at them for being all style, little substance. The BendGate and Bash issues added up to the ill repute they got lately. Sparta

That wasn't too hard, was it?

I am pretty much all anti-Apple at this point. I won't bash Apple users though.... it's how iron fisted Apple is becoming with third party companies, software, and even their hardware. It's starting to become anti-competitive. Because of the TRIM fiasco, you now have to buy Apple's own approved drives and not anyone elses. Or resort to third party hacks, which defeats the purpose of "it just works."

If it's Apple for me, it's anything from 2006 or earlier.
