Well, the Arab-sounding name is a definite turnoff especially for those conservative, Faux "News"-watching types. Not to mention that people are pretty complacent with what the major outlets have to offer.
In other news, my old man just bought me a tablet last Sunday, even though I was at the gadget stalls checking out what they have to offer, and I never really had any plans to buy a tab outright.

It's an Allwinner A31 tablet, sold by Kingcom (not to be confused with the ones behind Candy Crush) as the Joypad Q71. I'm still yet to find the original firmware for it, as they don't seem to carry any .img files on their support site.

This weekend, me and my family will get away from our quiet, yet boring, town and hit up the Indian Casino about 90 miles away.
It's a nice casino, with a wonderful hotel, great food, and of course, the gaming floor, with beautiful Native American inspired decor.
We will only be there til Sunday, but it will be nice. The weekend after that is Labor Day, when my town actually has things to do. More on that as the time comes.

Having a good time at the casino so far, and already had some good food. The Hot Dogs are the best. Period.
The slots could be a bit better though. Me and my parents weren't really lucky last night.
I won't be able to try my luck again until later this evening, but until then, I have my retro game consoles to keep me occupied. The casino hotel hasn't updated their TVs yet, and the ones they have are massive 32'' CRTs with front AV ports.

I'm back home from my little weekend vacation. Fun was had by all.
Unfortunately, I hear a faint rattling noise from Greta's CPU fan. I hope it's not anything serious.

Is formal education, high school in particular, really necessary? Is it wrong if someone forego high school to engage in an independent training on the subject he likes instead?
Just a question that came into my mind recently.
