Speaking of cartridges, here is a review of a new "Famiclone", the RetroN5 system. Here is a great review from a YouTube user known as "Pat the NES Punk". It's a very detailed review and exposes some rather glaring issues. See below for more!

Yesterday, I happened to go to an auction.

I was outbid a box of old Disney VHS tapes I wanted.

I was outbid a box of old kids picture books I wanted.

However, I was successful in getting the below item inside a box of toys that it came with.

Yes... one of the boxes of old toys included a pristine Webkinz Parakeet with an unused code.

Win Win!

Surround Sound and 3D. My entertainment center is complete. Now to just figure out how to get Steam Streaming to work smoothly.

I need to get my entertainment center setup photo uploaded then. It's far more complex since I have both Anna-Lena and my retro gaming CRT Nanouk in the same room. They are designed to be for separate rooms, but I don't have an apartment yet. You can imagine the mess of cables that are behind my setup.

Oh, and I don't think I'll ever get into 3D or Surround Sound. I live by 2.1 audio, even with movies. Tongue
Yes, I know Clifford has 3D, but I don't use it much even though I can handle 3D well.

It has been three years since I last talked with my good old friend Agent0042.

Wherever you are, just know this. I still think about you.

Hopefully, you will return some day. I do miss our occasional chats.

Do you have the time to listen to me whine?

This is what my Facebook page is. Don't like it? Live with it. Or unfriend. I don't care either way.

So... E3 happened in Los Angeles.

Nintendo had their Wii U game showcase thing and unveiled a whole bunch of new games including "Yoshi's Wooly World" and the next iteration of "Super Smash Bros".

Unfortunately, there was no announcement for an Animal Crossing game for the Wii U.

Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad

By the time I get into AC New Leaf, I'd bet they will have a Wii U AC announced. Ugh....

Firstly, I turned off WiiConnect 24 on Elsie. Seeing as how WFC has been discontinued, having WFC enabled is silly.

Secondly... I have been getting urges to get AC New Leaf, even though I want to spend some more time with AC City Folk. Then again, I also want Yoshi's New Island and Super Mario 3D World, and seeing as how games are $30+ whether they be digital or physical, it's going to be awhile before I get all three.

I'm just worried that AC New Leaf will require even more commitment than City Folk, as you basically are mayor of a town this time.

Nope, in fact, a lot of things in ACNL is nerfed to make things easier. For example, you can force shops to open and close later, or make the citizens environmentally conscious and help keep the town clean by weeding and watering flowers so you don't have to.

You want to know what takes more commitment than ACNL? Harvest Moon: A New Beginning. Been playing it since I got Isabelle 2, and I'm two months of game time into the game. And it's freaking frantic.
