Blackberry Bun Wrote:I kinda feel your pain, because I just experienced a very depressing thing this day. I will be fine, I can get back on my feet and move on, and I really hope you can too.
All of this seems to be a bit of a coincidence, with regards to how I felt last year around this time. See, I had a wonderful internship at a radio station that was about to come to an end. However, there was a misunderstanding between staff members and I got the door slammed in my face. AKA, they didn't want me back.Suffice to say, I had a very difficult December last year, but like anyone should do, I had to pick up and move on with life. You can't keep hanging on to a grudge forever. It will just make you even more depressed and paranoid.
In regards to this December, it has been much better for me. I do hope you can move forward Sandy from whatever happened today. Don't let anyone keep you down.

Though I didn't lose any money, that was an evil trick to play on someone and I am very depressed. That sucks I hope the monster that pulled off the scam suffers karma biting him/her back. Report that "organization" to the authorities just to be safe tho.
In the meantime, the battle against my demons continues. Especially since we move into the time of the year where I feel most depressed and difficult.
However I've managed to complete BingoBeaver, so that's one problem solved. Now to restore Helen, which will be a significantly more difficult task.

I'm going to turn the log cabin and the studio (which has mold in it, James and I will fix it) into a kids' paradise. I'm going to have my own school and extended daycare. It will be amazing.
Ben says he'll move out when it gets too big, though.
Ben: "I have an idea for the school and daycare. How about we have NO SCHOOL AND DAYCARE?"
Me: "How about it's not your business, literally?"
Ben: "I'm not living in a house with that noise level. You bring too many children in as it is. That's why I'm gone all day!"
Well, whatever. He's been mean to me all year. Ridiculously, personally mean to me while I've been under stress. He goes out of his way to make me feel bad lately. "I do that to everyone." You do it the most to me, you big jerk! He's nice to his wife and that's about it, as far as adults go. He's clueless with kids. He always was.

That sounds amazingly wonderfultastic. Log cabin studio kid paradise! ^_^ Makes me happy just thinking about it.
Ben has cooties and should stop being a stinkbutt.

Bought a blackberry.
Because I need a device with a qwerty keyboard which leaves my choice between Android and Blackberry OS, and Android is becoming stupid (google removed the privacy settings control panel introduced in the last version of Android KitKat in a recent update, saying that the release was accidental and the world has no need to mess with app permissions- according to google, if you download an app, you agree to it's requirements including invasion of your privacy).
And what they're doing to Youtube... Yep, they've completely lost it. Do no evil. Unfortunately their morality and perception of what is evil has been corrupted by the evil empire that is the mafia (RIAA, MPAA, BSA, ESA and several dictatorships all over the world).
Plus, I've been promised that the next version of Blackberry 10 OS will have an Android emulator and allow sideloading of most common Android apps

As much as I like Google for making Android open-source I share your sentiment about the web firm being bonkers and gave in to the big corporatist cabal.

For now, Hazel still has Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2, customized by Samsung. Even though Google is starting to become the next MS, I still have faith in Android as an OS alone. Because of it's open source nature, people can fork it if Google starts throwing down an iron fist like Apple does with iOS. There is already an Android fork called Replicant, and according to their website, it can run on Hazel, but I would have to try and root her first. There is also the famous Cyanogenmod as well. In the end, I do hope Samsung does keep their Android devices free and retain the ability to sideload apps.
Google Play may be of a concern in the future if further Android releases strip the ability to sideload apps, which may happen since the Google Chrome Store will no longer allow you to install extensions from outside websites next month. But then, there are several alternative app stores available, like SlideME or the famous Amazon AppStore, and if Google does remove sideloading, Amazon will likely complain since IIRC the Play Store doesn't allow actual app store apps in their store. Or was that Apple? Or Both?
As for AppOps, Hazel doesn't run KitKat yet, and I'm not sure if she ever will since Samsung is focusing on their newer Galaxy Note lineup. Who knows though? As for my privacy concerns... I really don't have any at the present since most of my apps are games like Angry Birds or the BabyFirst apps. The ability to turn off GPS for certain apps would be a plus, but Hazel already has the ability to turn off GPS system wide.... unless Samsung reduces that to a per-app option.

Noticed that Google has went ahead and deleted my SSC Growing Better short, Sweet Dreams Movie trailer and a short clip from Garfield I uploaded to make a point about the 2009 SSC. They also have several of my other videos flagged. I just deleted the flagged videos before it gets worse.
Unfortunately, it seems that I'm not the only one affected and some people has it worse. Would you believe that Mattel's official Fisher-Price account had been wiped clean and even suspended over the content in the ads they uploaded? Google has gone completely mad!
