Was I one of those "things"? For no logical reason, the web connection in my house was slower than dial-up this week. It seems to be doing fine again for now. (Knock on wood!)

Idk, it just feels... Spartan. Not enough sub-forums.

Ok, I'll get it off my chest. I liked it better back when there was dedicated sub-forums for music and such. I'm not very fond of using the "View Unread" feature, I like to be able to see what is the newest posted for the subforum and then just jump in.

But then, this is Blake's forum, not mine. His wish is for it to be simple, so I'll respect it.

Added more RAM to my netbook. Finally, this thing is much smoother and thrashes the hard disk less. Heck, even Island God is running much smoother.

Aw. Thank you! Your drawing was very cute and expressive, too, as I said in reply to it.

Sadly, people are trying to get me fired. Parents of three of my students are saying that they don't want someone who has the same disability as their children teaching their children, out of fear that I will be a bad influence. Some other teachers in the school who don't even know me think the same. The people who hired me love me and will not fire me. That aside, I have been getting so much grief for doing nothing wrong and it is plain tiring. I love the work itself and I love my students. I hate the toxic behavior of bigots. I hate worrying about how the parents who think my opinions are automatically awful must view their own children.

And, to two of those three parents, just because I have a different opinion does not mean I want to pick a fight. If I like MacIntoshes better than PCs, and you like PCs, that isn't an excuse to say I am a bad person who exists to teach your sons to argue. You asked which I prefer. Are you really going to pin me into these kinds of childish traps? Why? Is this to pat yourselves on the backs while you look for any pathetic excuse to defend your prejudice?

These snobs are such a waste of my energy. . .

I think I have said it before, but I will repeat it again.

No matter how nice you are, no matter how noble what you do is, there will be oppositions. However, there will be supporters as well. Don't let the oppositions get you down. Live on remembering your supporters, and you will eventually get there.

If your teachings show good results, they will understand in time. Though some people can be too stubborn.
