It really makes my eyes light up to see the old stage that I was playing when I was 3 years old recreated in such a beautiful way, the original gameplay kept exactly intact for the first part of the video, then the video changes, it's suddenly the modern Sonic gameplay, but the stage is still a huge throwback to that old stage.. and we see how far things have come. How things change but still stay the same. I think people and all things are like that. We all change but we are all at the core, the same and nothing will ever truly separate us from who we were before.

I haven't played any modern Sonic game yet. I only have the original four Genesis cartridges, and two spin off carts (Sonic Spinball and Wacky Worlds Creativity Studio). But, I have a Wii now (named Elsie), and once I finally get to a place where she can connect to the internet, I can try one out via WiiWare.

Oh, and with Lilly, I was browsing the web when I see an ad banner for Microsoft Internet Explorer 9. :?: Microsoft no longer makes IE for Macs. Only way to run IE on a Mac is with Windows on a separate partition, or in a VM.

Well, I've played quite a few, but I'd say the modern Sonic game that I liked best would be Sonic 4. It's a throwback to the 90s, but I loved it. It reminded me of the first time I powered up my Genesis clone and was greeted with the SEGA! chime.

Man, now I wish I can connect my old Fighting Pad 6B to my PS3 where my copy of Sonic 4 resides.

I agree with your sister.

It turns out we can go camping, if not for long. We'll only be gone on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. We leave Sunday morning and come back Tuesday night. We can go to the place I wanted to go, and this makes me happy. Alas, too much medical business and too many claimed cabins to stay a full week.

A moment of silence for him.

Goodness, he was too young to die. My condolences to his family and friends.

Aw!

My brother just now ate expired strawberry yogurt, for entertainment's sake. :|

And to think I was listening to Randy Newman - Losing You while having another depression fit last night.

A moment of silence for St. Jobs...

I tried a few games on the Genesis before; couldn't recall how many times I cried just because my brothers or cousins pwned me on Street Fighter II. :p

You definitely need to try something more co-operative. Like Contra Hard Corps, or Snow Bros.
