Let's petition Mediatek to comply to the GPL!

Title says all. Mind if you guys do the whole Linux community a favour and teach this company a lesson on sharing?

We weren't the only one petitioning. XDA-Developers were, too. And apparently they've succeeded.

Oh, yeah, although whether they'd clean and open up their kernel code ASAP is something we're yet to find out. And this may have something to do with rumours alleging that MTK is working with Google on a reference design for a possible low-cost Nexus model.
