The Philippine Government has now implemented a new Cybercrime law, which, according to it, can penalize individuals posting "libelous" or inflammatory statements on Facebook and elsewhere. However, the Electronic Frontier Foundation has expressed concern over it, and with the possibility of a SOPA-style act being in the way, the interwebs might end up being less than savoury for Filipinos.
