Tomorrow is May 7th. Greta is turning a full two years old.
I'm surprised it's already been a full two years since I found her just by watching the Home Shopping Network one night.
She still runs very well for being two years old. Before the end of February, she was starting to slow down but that was because her Windows 7 install had become bogged down and just needed a refresh.
As for her gift... still haven't decided. I almost came close to buying a copy of Windows 8.1, but decided to pass on it. I intend on keeping her a Windows 7 PC. I would have switched her to Linux, or at the very least, given her Linux via a USB hard drive, but Nvidia Optimus is still iffy... and I intend to use the binary drivers.
My Internet Explorer test has hit a couple snags already.
One: BadTranslator doesn't work properly. The "Random Language Order" checkbox does nothing. Works under Seamonkey.
Two: The web based interface for my FileBurst account doesn't upload files. It may have something to do with ABP, but it still won't upload files with FileBurst whitelisted.
Three: ABP doesn't seem to whitelist sites completely. I whitelist certain sites I wish to support and ads still don't show up.
