She supports HDCP over HDMI!!
I just played a bit of a commercial DVD ("Franklin and the Turtle Lake Treasure") and I got a clear picture. Kipper's manual warned that DVD playback would not be clear without HDCP, and it was clear as crystal! That's good news for the future BluRay player. I love foxes, especially the one in my avatar.

Lilly is now fully restored. Thanks to Apple for including a recovery partition on the drive, and no thanks to Micro$oft for publishing an Office Uninstall Guide that ends up breaking the system fonts.
I will now use a different set of applications this time around. * I will use iChat for access to Yahoo Messenger rather than downloading the official client. Saves hard drive space. * Seamonkey will be the only other browser installed. No Chrome or Firefox. I want to keep application installs limited since Mac OSX doesn't have any easy way to uninstall complex applications (ones that you can't simply drag to the trash) * I will just go ahead and use iTunes for music playback, but that means I will have to convert my OGG files to MP3 format. Vox was nice, but it has no media library features. I really wish Winamp existed for Mac. (well, it does, but it's poor compared to the Windows version) * I will try and learn GarageBand, since you can record from the line-input. If that doesn't work out, I will just use Audacity like before. *I will just use Apple's iWork suite for my office needs. It's compatible with many Office format files. I love foxes, especially the one in my avatar.

EDIT: Does Anna-Lena support HDMI Deep Color? I actually have Kipper set to "YCbCr" for HDMI output and the colors from HDMI (especially red) seems a lot more deep and rich. Deep Color support was added to HDMI 1.3, and it seems both Anna-Lena and Kipper support it. I love foxes, especially the one in my avatar.

RAMChYLD Wrote:YCbCr = Interlaced. Well, believe it or not, I found Kipper's best picture output...1080i. Interlaced yes, but I don't mind at all. It all boils down to how my old video games look, and turns out, 1080i works best because it actually smooths out some of the blockiness a tad bit. Anna-Lena converts it to 720p though since she isn't native 1080p. Fun Fact: Kipper can switch between 480p, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p via HDMI. He can also output RGB or YCbCr Deep Color, though I reverted to Enhanced RGB because Deep Color made Kenny & Goorie appear too dark, as if the brightness was turned down a lot. RAMChYLD Wrote: How do you make these? Where did you get all the vectors? I use GIMP on Wendell, but on Lilly, I bought Pixelmator from the App Store. I love foxes, especially the one in my avatar.

Now I'm starting to miss and worry about her... Maybe I should have asked for a contact person...?
